Weaning is HARD WORK!!!

Many of you know I am in the process of weaning my son, however it is NOT as easy as I thought it would be to do! I am down to two feedings a day, once in the morning and once in the evening before his bedtime. I'm hoping to have Isaac completely weaned by the beginning of the year, however at this point, I'm not so sure??? My son is certainly a "boob man"! :-)

Although many may think I'm nuts for nursing him still, I know it has been the BEST thing for him! Thank God he is strong and healthy and has yet to get sick or have to take any medicine! (I probably just put my foot in my mouth and jinxed us. . .he will probably get sick now!) I really think my breast milk keeps my son healthy. . .it's like a power drink for him! Isaac has had a couple mild colds but nothing that has been serious. Breast-milk is absolutely amazing and soooooo beneficial for babies. . .
AND apparently I have some SUPER-DUPER MILK!!!
You can just look at Isaac and know he is a VERY healthy boy!
Might just have to sell some of this stuff on eBay!

Think it might be time to stop nursing when your child
brings the Boppy Nursing Pillow to you when they are hungry???

Although we hide the Boppy pillow from our son,
he still manages to find it!!!

This is Isaac asking for the boob!
I'm burning that Boppy!!!

Isaac is on a climbing kick!

He is certainly ALL BOY!!!
Isaac climbs everything and we are constantly
having to chase him around and pick him up from stuff!

He has absolutely no FEAR . . . and he is only going to get

more fearless! They say the first two years of a child's life,

our main job is to keep them alive!!!

I absolutely agree and can certainly relate!

Since Isaac keeps us super-busy and is always full of energy, I returned the favor by playing him REALLY, REALLY hard. We played sooooooo much, the poor little guy passed out in his chair!

He looks so sweet when he sleeps!

Although our lives are chaotic at times
and really busy with our son, it is still
the greatest experience we have ever shared
together! At night when we put our son to
sleep and we reflect on the day, Jason and
I just look at each other and laugh at the
craziness our little boy fills it with! We
truly do enjoy it all, even when it's tough!
We realize our son is growing so fast and we
need to enjoy ALL of him, no matter how hard!

Plus, that is the wonderful thing about pictures
and video. . .we have PROOF of our son's wild
and chaotic behavior! We can give him a hard
time when he is older and of course reminisce
and smile about it all!

Me with my little busy man!

This picture says it all!

Happy Birthday, Erika!

My beautiful sister, Erika, turned 25 years old
and we celebrated by enjoying a fabulous
mexican fiesta at her favorite restaurant!

Happy 14 Months, Isaac!

This was a very BIG week for America!
The election took place and we elected our 44th President.
Although the election IS a very exciting event,
for us it wasn't as special as celebrating our
little boy turning 14 months old!!!
It is such a blessing to see our son grow up and experience all
the milestones he reaches and the progress
he makes, which continues to amaze us!

Isaac celebrates his very 1st election!!!

Go McCain, Go McCain, Go McCain!!!

Running around the house as usual!

He NEVER slows down and NEVER gets tired!
Can't say that for Mama or Papa, though!!!

BOO-HOO!!!! The other guy won!
Hopefully he can deliver on all those wonderful promises he made. They sure sound good. . .we shall see!

Starting his campaign early!

He's got my vote!!!!!!

Our little boy is officially 14 months old!!!

You are such a beautiful blessing and continue
to fill our lives with so much love and happiness!

His smile says it all!!!

LOVE YOU, BUBBA!!!

Celebrated the day by going to the park
with my sisters and nephew and enjoying a yummy picnic.
Another goregous day in AZ!!!

I see you ducky. . .stay away!!!
The ducks were a little aggressive and REALLY
wanted the bread we had!

Halloween Night!

For Halloween night, we kept it low-key.
I made one of Jason's favorite
meals, chicken tacos, and we had my sister come over with
my adorable nephew. We all hung out, played with the boys,
watched movies, and handed out some yummy goodies to the
Trick-Or-Treaters!!!

The yummy treats we handed out!
Yes, I made sure we had leftovers!!! :-)
This was the first time we dressed up the boys.
So nice they got to spend it together!

Jacob as a Teddy Bear and Isaac as a Dragon!
They are just adorable in their costumes!!!

Isaac watches as Papa hands out candy.
Isaac LOVED when the door bell rang. He would
immediately run to the door and smile when
he saw all the kids in their costumes. Of course,
everyone thought he looked so cute in his costume!

The Trick-Or-Treaters LOVED our house!
Jason kept handing out handfuls of candy to each.
I was worried we would run out of candy, so I took over
the handing-out-candy responsibilities and did it too!
It's sooooooo hard to just hand out one piece when you
see the adorable kids in their costumes. Luckily, we
had enough candy to hand out and even leftovers for us!

Isaac would get upset when we would shut the door after
the Trick-Or-Treaters would leave. He loved
looking at their costumes!

A little break in between the Trick-Or-Treaters!

My adorable nephew! Sooooooo precious!!!

This is a classic! LOVE those puckered lips!!!

When the door bell stopped ringing, we had fun playing
with the boys and got ready to watch some movies!

Isaac wrestles with Papa before his bedtime.
He LOVES to wrestle with his Papa!!!
